Having problems while copying data to hdd from External drive

Four days back, I backed up my data (15gb) from my old desktop having Windows Xp.
Yesterday,I got my new CPU I tried to put data back to HDD but having problems it keeps calculating.
I don't know what to do.
Help me out.

Can you give details? Backed up how? When you say "put data back to HD" are you talking drag and drop in Explorer? Using a restore program? It's impossible to know what you've done unless you specify.

I simply copied data to external drive approx 15Gb consisting ISO files images and many other files.
Now, when I try to copy data to my new rig it keeps saying calculating though my phone mass storage is working perfect with my rig.

Try using the command line instead of drag and drop. If you have too many files Explorer wil sit calculating until you're old. Try dragging and dropping a Windows.old folder to a networked drive to see what I mean.
