Hello, my name is AmalM and I'm new here.
I have two internal HDDs. One is a Samsung and the other is a Western Digital Caviar.
The WDC has the problem. There were three partitions in it. One day when I turned on my PC, I couldn't see any of those partitions in "My Computer". It's detected in both BIOS and Disk Management. When I checked Disk Management, it showed "Error".
So I download Western Digital Data LifeGuard Diagnostics and checked my HDD. Quick test failed:
And the Extended search said that there are some bad sectors and asked me to fix it. I pressed Ok. And when I went to Disk Management again, it says " Import failed" :
And then I used TestDisk:
Here it shows my lost three partitions.
I pressed p and I could see all my files. So, I thought there's some hope and I came here:
Here, I selected "write" option and pressed y:
And this message showed:
Please help me fix that drive. 3/4 of my files are in it. Please help me.
I think it happened because one of the wires to the HDD was loose. I fixed it now. I changed the wires.
If you need any more details from me, please reply.
Please help me.
