hey, im new here so feel free to tell me if im doing wrong. my problem is that sometimes when i turn on my computer i only have 1 dvd drive( i have 2 installed+3 other internal harddrives), and my primary disc that i have my os on. this does not happen when i use another harddrive with same os on, so i think it have to be driver sort of problem. they have never disappeared in bios, only in Windows 7 on 1 of the discs with os. does anybody know a fix for this? i really dont want to reinstall/wipe my disc. and i have both checked the cables an even switched them to new ones, still showing in bios but not in os. if it were only 1 drive i might consider it dying, but when it's 3 drives witch all pass chkdsk+dvd drive it must be something else? this is a almost new selfbuild pc so i know everything inside is OK. please help me. thanks =/

So I understand, you multiple hard drives with the same OS installed on each of the hard drives, at least 2 of them. My question is WHY? I could understand if they were different OS's for booting up on a separate hard drives. You would be given a choice at boot up.

I believe it not to be a driver issue but a conflict with which hard drive it's wanting to boot up with. Are both hard drives with the OS on them listed as active/primary in your disk management.

i do have 2 discs with os(from the same w7 dvd), just to test as the first already had this problem. the other 2 disks is for storage only. and on the other one, everything works very vell. thats what confuse me. both boots and work perfect, exept the problem one does not show my SATA equipments. only one dvd drive & OS disc. the other one show 3 drives+2 dvd drives.... they dont show op in disc management

Hi,

I'm at a bit of a loss here.........if you have physically checked that the power and SATA connectors are fine, then the disks should definately show

You talked about "other OS".....what do you mean by that?

Regards,
Golden
