Hi,

I took out the HDMI cable from my PC monitor about half an hour ago and when I plug it back it and seek it gets to HDMI 1, goes to a black screen and stops seeking as if something should be displayed.

I have connected a VGA cable from my desktop to my monitor and it displays fine, but the HDMI still does not work. The HDMI cable definitely works as I have tested it with my Xbox and TV. I have a GTX560 Ti and I have uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them, but it still does not work.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Was this a science experiment ? Why did you remove your video cable ?

Don`t start removing drivers and what not, work the problem, shut everything down, unplug everything from it`s power source. Plug both cables into the monitor then start changing the input, when it works on the hdmi setting, remove the vga cable.
