Health issues because of computer

but I got them after I started spending alot of time in fron of computer screen.
Then that is your starting point.

For your routine, the only variable I see is your sleeping habits.
Try to get a good nights sleep. Search for how to get a good nights sleep Here is one I came up with Sleep tips: 7 steps to better sleep - MayoClinic.com

Something over the counter to help is Melatonin. But, you should check with your doctor first!

It really dose, but as I heard, they cost a fortune, dont they? If it is not a secret, maybe you can say how much did you paid for them? And by the way, do you need any reciepe for them? Can you buy them online?

They are available in prescription, but I have a standard pair. I payed $75.00 (I've had 8 eye surgeries in the last four years, and want to keep my eyes as protected as possible...) for them, and they came with a hard case, cleaning solution, and microfiber cloth. I believe they are available online directly from Gunnar here:
Products > Holiday Deals Gunnar Optiks | Gunnars.com

They also list a bunch of e-tailers, including Amazon, Newegg, Tigerdirect, Zappos, and ThinkGeek. I am not sure if any of these sites will ship to you.

But as I posted earlier, you don't have to buy Gunnar. There are quite a few different brands that offer the same tint, angle, and magnification. Gunnar was the only brand that was available locally, and I wanted to try them on before spending that much cash. Perhaps you could ask around, maybe a friend has a pair laying around that you could try?

Best of luck to you!

Hello.
I am 18 year old male, and I do spend alot of time in fron of computer. I thought, maybe you guys can help my to answer some questions.
I have dark circles under my eyes, but they are horrible and make huge contrast. My autumn, winter and spring routine is: wake up 7am, go to school, come at about 3pm, till 5pm sit in fron of pc, then doing my homework(sometimes i do need pc for homework) and after that I also sit in fron of my pc. 10:30pm I go to sleep. Most of the time, I spend my weekends in fron of my pc.
How do you think, is computer the problem of this? If so, how can i "fix" my circles under my eyes, I mean, do you know any tecniques? I am going to be programmer, and in 2012 i will have to pass my final exams, so I have to spend big amount of time in front of pc (sometimes I do play games).
Thanks.

Hmmm you need to take a break for while every now and then otherwise if you'll be the sitting near the pc the whole time your circles wont disappear. And what are you doing on computer when your not working or doing home work? im asking coz when i was in school one of our mate used to spend the whole time on pc and most of the times he was watchig porn stuff and rubbing his something as i can rememeber and he had black dark circles as well and he was awfully skinny :D but im not saying your doing it but just to let you know this could be due to anything also eat well and have a healthy diet and dont be tensed if there's a problem coz tension gives circles too. When im free i spend most of the time on PC and gaming as well when my gf is out of city or busy somewhere else and dont disturb me ;) still dont have circles problem.

But I sleep well without any problems pretty much every day for about 8 hours :rolleyes:

V43L1n - thanks :)
While 8hours is the norm for Adults (7 to 9hours is the range) It is not the length of sleep you receive, but the quality of sleep.

Do you get kidded about snoring or know that you snore? Snoring is a sign of sleep apnea, and is disruptive to quality sleep.

Do you remember dreaming after you wake up? If you do not, that is another sign of not getting quality sleep. Dreaming and REM sleep

Some ways to tell if you're sleep deprived. If three or more of the following describe you, it's possible that you need more sleep.

* I need an alarm clock in order to wake up at the appropriate time.
* It's a struggle for me to get out of the bed in the morning.
* I feel tired, irritable and stressed out during the week.
* I have trouble concentrating.
* I have trouble remembering.
* I feel slow with critical thinking, problem solving, being creative.
* I often fall asleep watching television.
* I find it hard to stay awake in boring meetings or lectures, or in warm rooms.
* I often nod off after heavy meals or after a Low dose of alcohol.
* I often feel drowsy while driving.
* I often sleep extra hours on weekend mornings.
* I often need a nap to get through the day.
* I have dark circles under my eyes.
I find the first paragraph in this quote misleading, these are all indicators of poor quality sleep.

It should be;
it's possible that you need to improve the quality of your sleep. Instead of,
it's possible that you need more sleep.
