Help configuring 2007 Outlook Accounts

If you were not using profiles before, I don't understand how you could have used a profile parameter in the shortcut

Do you by any chance have a System Backup Image of the OS from BEFORE you reinstalled Windows ?
If you do, you may be able to browse that image so you can see what is in the OLD shortcuts ?

I AM using profiles now...maybe I used them before and don't remember...

Well, I'm stumped.
I just setup 2 shortcuts like yours for profiles and they both work...

I have them working, but the problem is in the mail delivery

and I know I have the right .pst folders named correctly too

So the shortcuts work correctly, and it starts Outlook with the correct profile ?

well I need to 1st ensure when opening outlook that it's not pinned to the task bar and then yes it opens correctly

problem comes when I send from Michael to outlook if I do not exit immediately it will come to the Michael box not the outlook box

It sounds like you have both email accounts in each profile.

Try this:
Remove your email address (and PST) from Michael's profile.
Remove Michael's email address (and PST) from your profile.

That way each profile will only have access to one email address and PST data.

ok so before I make matters worse, this is probably a simple task..but can you tell me how to do that?

all I see are the email profiles (1 each)

I'll give you screen shots of how I remove an email account in Outlook 2010.
I expect 2007 is similar.

Click on File > Account Settings > Account Settings (screen print #1)

Select the email account and click Remove (screen print #2)

YOU ARE A FREAKING GENIUS! I KNEW KNEW KNEW IT WAS SOMETHING THIS SIMPLE!!!

I REMOVED MY EMAIL FROM HIS EMAIL UNDER THE EMAIL ACCOUNT SETTING (IN WINDOWS, NOT OUTLOOK)
AND IT WORKED AS IT SHOULD
