Help deciphering fiddley case plugs---->mobo

Hey guys, rookie pc builder here. I'm sure with experience a question like this seems noobish, but I cannot for the life of me deduct which case plugs goes to which pins on the motherboard.

The mobo is an ASUS A55M-F (pdf), the relevant diagrams are on pg 12, here is a photo of the pins:

The case is a Coolermaster Elite 241 (pdf), and the three plugs giving me fits are these:

Any help would be appreciated, I especially need to understand if the plugs go in on a horizontal or vertical orientation

The power switch and the reset switch must go on the correct pins but it doesn't matter which way they are on the pins. The hdd led won't light if it is the wrong way round on the pins and the power led is the same. If the leds do not light then turn round the plugs. I used to glue the plugs together first as it made connecting them easier. Asus boards now come with a handy intermediate adaptor which helps a lot. Page 1-18 in the manual shows quite well where the plugs go. Good luck.

ASUS has a couple of different adapter plugs available to simplify mobo connections.
