Help deleting files.

I have three files in my "C:\Program Files\Panda Security\Panda Cloud AntiVirus" folder that I can't delete. I have uninstalled Panda and I used their advanced uninstaller, but I still have these three files.

When I try to delete them I get this message: "This action can't be completed because this file is open in Windows Explorer."

I can't locate where the files are open at so I can shut them down. Please help.

There are no services or processes running with these files.

Starting it in Safe Mode did not help. I tried unlocking the folder and all it did was restart explorer.exe and I still could not delete the files.

I have tried FileASSASSIN and Bitdefender's File Shredder. Nothing works.

It will let you stop what is locking the file open, and you will be able to delete it. Very handy tool I always install.

Okay, that did not fix my problem, and CNET said that program was potentially harmful.

The program is 100% safe, and what do you mean "Okay, that did not fix my problem"? Was it not able to unlock the folder? I've used it many, many times with no issue. At worst, it had to delete after a restart. A Guy

select the files to delete, and before the confirmation kill off explorer.exe and then delete them, or open up a command window, kill off explorer.exe and then delete them within the command window. Some stuff attaches itself to explorer.exe so they can't be terminated with explorer running, no program can terminate them either since they dont have access to explorer.exe
killing off explorer will kill off the gui / desktop etc, so that why you do it via a command window.
then using ctrl-alt-del, open up task manager again and run explorer.exe in the run box.

hope this help. :D

Lockhunter sometimes can't unlock files locked by Explorer. But it offers to close the "locking processes" or "remove locking processes from the disk"

My question is...is this harmful in any way? What would be the consequences of removing the locking processes from the disk? I would be happy to get rid of them for good.
