Help - download drivers

I have lenovo G560 and I want to update my drivers from Lenovo website.


I found this: Lenovo Ideapad Support & downloads - Drivers & Downloads

but I am not sure what to do!
Should I install every driver for 64-bit?

please help

Windows Update does a decent job of keeping drivers up to date.
But if you want to do it manually, update the important drivers: chipset, networking, audio, etc.

I would probably go to device manager and make sure I don't have any yellow exclamation points on any of my devices. If their are any those would be the first ones I would install.
If not then windows has provided working drivers and I would then check the driver version and if anything update the chipset and video drivers.
I subscribe to the "If it ain't broke don't fix it"
If you look at the driver version for say your chipset it is the same for XP as for Windows Seven so, if all is working then I'd leave it alone. JMO

Okay, first I have tried windows update(on shutdown), I don't find any drivers update on the list. I am pretty sure there are new drivers available, is there a tutorial on SF?

How do I find current installed drivers(plus date) and their versions?

can I roll back if the driver is not good?

Go to device manager right click on the device> properties> driver. And it will give you the driver date and version number.

Why don't I see the BIOS in device manager?

You can indeed rollback the drivers if they are not working correctly.
BIOS is not in device manager, 'cause you can't update it like that; it's the first code run by the PC at boot-up.
Bios is updated by flashing the EEPROM with a newer version, if you've never done it before, I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself- if done incorrectly it can make your motherboard unusable.

The thing though with updating your bios is you really don't need to do this unless the newer version addresses a specific problem you may be having. Updating your bios is more involved then updating drivers and if not done correctly can render your system inoperative.

As far as updating drivers once you have found the version and the date if the driver on the site is a newer one, you can simply download the driver from the site,save it to your desktop then go back to where you found the original version and click on update driver software and follow the prompts and direct it to where you downloaded the newer version.

just to clarify, after I update, the previous driver files are saved and I can restore them through Device manager.

Where is the drivers folder?

So I will be able to direct the installation...

When you select the driver to be downloaded you will bne asked where to save it to, I either save it to my desktop or documents."
On the same page as updater driver software you'll see another tab below it" roll back driver".

When you have saved the downloaded driver to a folder of your choice click on update driver software>browse my computer>browse to where you downloaded the new driver then install.
