ik than, so ocing upwards of 4ghz is where the need for the aftermarket cooler comes in (loving the one i just bought). i could potentially go to 4.1, 4.2, havnt seen how high people go with them yet, with prety good temps with my AM coolerIntel CPUs run hotter than AMD.
You should get lower than 55°C at stock settings. If you overclock then it will get hotter, with EIST (same as coolnquiet) it will run at lower voltage/frequency when not running demanding programs. When rendering or gaming it will run at higher voltage/frequency and it will be hotter.
Mine runs at 55°C at 3.84GHz with Prime95, the 3770k should run above 4GHz at 60-65°C, which is a good temp for Intel CPU.
