help formatting drive c on windows 7

It definitely tried to boot from a partition. It isn't C ... so it's E...nice.

But I asked to do a startup repair and post exactly what goes wrong

Are you very sure your win7 on harddisk and install DVD are both 64 bits (or both 32 bits)?
Did you install by using that dvd?

So i fixed the boot menu now and this is what i get

But thats not right! I have windows 7 on E and 8 pro on C!

What should i do now?

C and E are just drive letters!! They are defined in current registry of running OS. Can differ if you boot another OS.

But how did you fix the bootmenu? I can only give instructions if I know whta you're doing!

i went to CMD here and with bootrec /rebuildbcd and the computer found 2 windows istallations and asked me if to add them to the boot menu i pressed yes for the both of them

Anyway try to boot into win7 ultimate. then post screen of disk management again
and post output of

bcdedit/enum all>bcd.txt

so create bcd.txt again and post it

in bcd.txt I see:

• win8 is in it
• recovery environment (repair computer using f8) is in it. bu recovery is not enabled

Start again startup repair (it works now I hope). Do it 3 times with boots in between. Be sure to select win7 ultimate to recover. Works?

Reboot normal afterwards and regenerate bcd.txt and post it

recovery environment f8 is not working!! But we can fix it easy


delete win8 from boot menu

bcdedit/delete {d8e7c184-3b28-11e2-a4a1-a1e141ded738}

disable recovery environment (F8 recovery)

reagentc/disable

unused recovery stuff

bcdedit/delete {d8e7c186-3b28-11e2-a4a1-a1e141ded738}
bcdedit/delete {d8e7c187-3b28-11e2-a4a1-a1e141ded738}

enable recovery environment (F8 recovery)

reagentc/enable

Post output
regenerate bcd.txt again
