help install to ssd on new laptop with factory os on hdd

I have a new laptop with the ability to add an SSD (2nd HDD). The os from the factory is of course on the HDD. I have created recovery discs. Factory recovery is on a partition on the original hdd. I want to know how to install Windows 7 to an SSD and convert the hdd to a secondary drive. Will I have issues and what will the issues be.

What make and model of laptop is it?

Personally I would go with a clean install using your product key, but if you don't want to do that make a image of the install using the first tutorial I posted and then most likely with you will need to remove the original hard drive and put the SSD in its place to install the OS then you can install the other hard drive and format it to use as a secondary storage drive. Be sure to backup all your data (documents, music, videos, pictures etc.

Unplug the HD when you install or clone/image to the SSD.

After install if you are cramped for space on the SSD you can move the User folders to the HD using http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/18629-user-folders-change-default-location.html.

This works well unless you plan to use Win7 Backup Imaging, which will then want to include the data partition in addition to C in the image since User system files reside there. To work around this copy your User folders to the data partition and merely link them to Win7 http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/585-library-include-folder.html setting each as the default Download location for that User folder.

I would make my data partition on the HD a separate partition so when ready you can delete the old Win7 installation (along with the corrupting bloatware - say Bye!) simply by deleting its partition in Disk Mgmt after marking it Inactive http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/197157-partition-mark-inactive.html then repartition it for storage, perhaps for your images.
