Solved Help Is my Network Secure?

This is probably a really stupid question, but I'm not seeing the "Secure Shield" next to my RangeMax available network.

I just installed the WND3700 to replace my old RangeMax 240 and when viewing available networks it always showed the network secured badge.
When setting up the new router I set a passphrase, am I missing something else?

Thanks for any help in this matter!

Have you had a look in the options area of the software, may have a box to tick or untick to show. To really secure your router, you'll need to go to the router web based page. Usually to do that you type in 192.168.x.x into your browsers search bar, then go to wireless or wireless setup, then security and turn off your SSID broadcast then set your security mode...ie...WEP, WPA or WPA 2.

Thanks Bassfisher, I'm sure the "SSID Broadcast" is still set to ON! I'll check that as soon as I get home.
What will turning the ssid broadcast effect besides security?
Thanks for the reply
