Help needed -- Remove shortcut for software no longer on system

Win 7 Pro 64 bit: Can't remove desktop shortcut for software that has otherwise been uninstalled from the system ... any ideas?

Have you tried a disk cleaning program such as CCleaner?

How did you uninstall the program? Through the control panel or using the program's uninstaller or Revo or ??

Do you get any particular error message when you attempt to delete the shortcut?

You might reinstall it and then uninstall again, possibly with Revo.

Got message "Could not find this item.... This is no longer located in c:\Users\Bob\Desktop. Verify the items location and try again.
