Help please selecting a Win7 laptop replacement battery

Hello,

My battery is dying. I've done a few things in an attempt to fix the "consider replacing your battery" warning and none of them has worked. I run my laptop in high performance mode (for audio recording) and I have no problem thinking it might just be dying.

So I need to replace it. I have NO IDEA what to look for in a replacement battery. I have done searches and found numbers similar to what I have but none that match exactly. Specifically, I have not found any that are 5600mAh, only smaller numbers.

So I would dearly appreciate a little help. Here's my computer via Sandra report:

Incidentally, there is a sticker on it that says FEB-'12. I assume that means when the battery was made because I bought the laptop in April of 2012 and this is the original battery.

I find close matches when I search for a replacement but they are 4400mAh or some such. I know some numbers are more important than others but I don't know which is which.

Thank you maxie! My question now is, just for learning, what's the difference between my current battery at 5600mAh and the replacement at 4400mAh?

mAh stands for milli Ampere-Hour WH stands for watt-hours. Both are a measure of the total amount of energy stored in a battery. So, the higher the better if you want the laptop to work for a long time on the battery's power. The important thing though is the voltage. You can replace a battery of low mAH or WH with one of higher rating, but if the voltages don't match, at best your laptop will not power on, and at worst, it will smoke and burn when you power it on.
