what is the difference of sfc /scannow and sfc /revert??

hmm is sfc /revert or /scannow can crush my existing theme?example im using 3rd party theme the i use the command sfc /scannow,what will happen.i actually avoid using the the commands in my current theme.

The sfc /scannow command (System File Checker) scans the integrity of all protected Windows 7 system files and replaces incorrect corrupted, changed/modified, or damaged versions with the correct versions if possible.

It does not crash your theme, but restores the modified files to their actual state.

I know that when using sfc /scannow it changes my start button back to the windows original. Can't say about themes but would assume it does the same there as well. Not a huge problem..... keep my start button changer in applications and it takes all of 30 seconds to get "my" start button back.
