Hi,

I would look through Device Manager to see if that device name is appearing elswhere. If so then it might not be the particular controller you're installing that's showing an error in Device Manager.

You could try uninstalling the device (and checking the'Delete' software box if it appears) then robooting Windows to see if it find anything for it. You should also be given an option to search online thru the Windows Update service for drivers.

The device is like an easycap device to connect consoles (wii, ps2, ps3, xbox etc) to your computer. Here is a picture of what it looks like.

Right-click the USB Composite Device and see if you can get some system info for it.

I couldn't right click it, but I did get some small info. I circled it in Red.

You might want to try running Windows Update and see if it shows any hardware updates. Also, did you not get any software with the device to install?

The you will need to open 'Computer' from the Start Menu then right click the CD & select 'Open'. This will show the contents of the disk. Now you need to run the setup in Compatability Mode for Vista, if that fails then try it for XP.
