Solved Help with editing/deleting text in window

Not sure if this belongs here, but what the heck. I downloaded the program 'Wondershare,' I needed to convert some videos to disk so I could play them on my home dvd player.

I decided I didn't like the program so I deleted it through the Programs and Features in the Control Panel. However, it still left the remnants of what you see in this screen shot. Any ideas on how to remove/edit/delete this text??

The text I'm referring to is:
"Play With Wondershare Player"
"Add to Wondershare Player Playlist"

Install the software again, reboot. Then use Revo Uninstaller Free to remove it, and reboot again.

   Tip

Use Revo Uninstaller to uninstall stubborn software. Opt for Advance Mode while uninstalling which allows leftover registry removal:Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Free and Full Download - Uninstall software, remove programs, solve uninstall problems

You could also run CCleaner once you've done that.

koolkat77, thank-you so much for your reply. Unfortunately, Revo Uninstaller is what I used the first time to uninstall the program. The reason I went that direction is I found out after some research on the Web, is that 'Wondershare' is a b***h to COMPLETELY uninstall from your computer.

I then used CCleaner to delete ALL the cache on the C: drive. After those two attempts basically failed, I dug deeper into the research and someone suggested going into the Registry (I feel very comfortable doing that) and removing/deleting all remnants in this directory- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software.

Did that, painstakingly slow. I have now come here to the Windows Seven Forums gurus...

I did read another article that said you have to go into each one of these- * Find and delete all registry entries of the program in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\eg ui

* Find and delete all files of the program in system folders C:\Program Files\, C:\Document and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ and C:\Documents and Settings\%USER%\Application Data\.

If Revo and CCleaner don't do it, you could try a System Restore point to a date prior to the installation of Wondershare--if one is available.

Those 2 options are simply Explorer's context menu options. It's trivial to remove them though the registry once you locate them, but before that, you may try with this program:
ShellMenuView - Disable/enable context menu items of Explorer

It allows you to customize the context menu of pretty much all Windows files. Go and look for the video types and see if it detects and allows you to delete them. You will need to run it as administrator, most likely.

you could try a little program called "everything"
Download Everything

Been using it for ages with no problems. Type in what you are looking for and it usually finds all those little leftovers from deleted programs.

ignatzatsonic- If Revo and CCleaner don't do it, you could try a System Restore point to a date prior to the installation of Wondershare--if one is available. Still present, maybe not back far enough? Never have had any real good results with "System Restore" actions

Alejandro85- ShellMenuView - Disable/enable context menu items of Explorer. Excellent program! However, not one shred of evidence of 'Wondershare' shows up in the menu. Reviewed it three times- line by line.

lffoar- you could try a little program called "everything" Download Everything. Another nice program, found tiny traces of 'Wondershare,' even in my Redcycle Bin. I deleted everything, restarted and STILL THERE!

I do have something to add, when I deleted the 'Wondershare Player' folder from c:drive>Program Data>Wondershare Player, and rebooted, the folder was there again! Explanation?

Using Everything Search from Safe Mode sometimes helps.
If you find something right click and select Open Path.
Always look at the date of the object and compare it with the date installed of the program you are trying to get rid of.

You could also look in msconfig/Startup and Services and see if you can find it there.

koolkat77, I appreciate you sticking with me. Followed step-by-step exactly, (surprised their were some left-over from other attempts). Unfortunately, it is still showing up in the "context menu" window.

That is impossible to read. Can you save the snapshot and upload it using the paperclip?

Or in ccleaner, save the startup as text file and upload that.

Tried them both, being extremely vigilant in tracking down every entry, with no luck.
This is the only value under the second listing "{ecabafc6-7f19-11d2-978e-0000f8757e2a}" not sure what it refers to. Can't find a date it was created.
