Help with windows event logs

Hello, is this the right part of the forum for event logs? I'm wondering if someone can help with finding out what my computer is waiting on...

Some time ago after some windows updates, the computer takes a long time to get into windows after the log on screen. The time taken to boot and get to the log on screen is OK.

If this is the correct area and someone is willing to help, then I've got some event logs I can share.

Hello i7W7, it really is a question of "what gives?", do you want help with Event IDs, or are you asking about a slow booting computer? I ask because I would not start with looking at event logs to diagnose a slow booting computer, as the main culprits don't even leave Event traces, unless there is some kind of violation error.

First, I would try Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup, as most often, the culprits lie hiding there.

However, if you have some reason for starting with Event IDs, then post what you have found, and we will take a look. Most often, Event IDs are to do with services starting and stopping,etc - which is normal. The interesting Events are the ones with Warnings or Error marked besides them - but don't assume that Microsoft, or anybody else, knows how to solve them.
