help!!!!

I have tried to change the user accounts on my laptop and have somehow stupidly ended up with 2 standard users and no administrator account. This is obviously stoppong me installing/uninstalling anything or doing pretty much anything. Can anyone please help??

Welcome!

Boot up in Safe Mode, and log in to the built-in administrator account. From there, you can create a new Administrator account.

That link is for changing the password. The problem is NOT the password, rather it is the TYPE of account.

This tutorial shows how to enable the Default Administrator Account when you have NO user accounts that have Administrator privileges so you then have the Default Administrator Account and can give one of your Limited User Accounts Administrator privileges again. You can also change any lost passwords for the other accounts using the Default Administrator Account.
