Re: Windows 7 O/S, two computers and one laptop wired with Ethernet cable to wireless Belkin modem. Two other laptops operating off of the same modem. Never operating all at the same time.
I was wondering and have been asked about the speed. The speed of the connection is at 109 and 42. The problem is slowness and best description I can provide is hesitation. Example; I was on Yahoo website to read stories and when I clicked in to a story it took about 1o secs for my screen to scroll and if I click again I get the same thing. If you are familiar with Gamesville and click in to a game, there is a wheel at the top of the game screen that revolves to indicate that the game is loading. My wheel hesitates, stops, goes and repeats the same action. Sometimes when I read my mail and go to navigate and hit the x to get out, nothing happens and I have to resort to the Task Manager to clear the screen. Help

Is the problem the same with the other PCs, making you think it's the connection and not the install? You can troubleshoot your connection by calling tech support included in your monthly bill. They must help you get the speed you are paying for, no less.

Hesitation is normally a problem of the PC, either the hardware or the OS. Work through these Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7 to check over your system, starting with a Clean Boot.

The problem is also common with inferior factory pre-installed Win7 larded with bloatware and duplicate utilities which interfere with better versions built into Win7. If you have a store-bought PC with this kind of factory preinstall then I would strongly consider doing what most tech enthusiasts do and Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7. Everything you need to get and keep a perfect install is in the blue link.
