Solved Windows stuck at "Checking for updates" and other problems

When I click to search updates, it stays stuck at the screen "Checking for updates...". I left there for 20 hours and it is still stuck.
My computer is having other problems too.

• sfc /scannow doesn't works (Windows resource protection could not start the repair service)
• My computer isn't shutting down. It stays on this screen: Screenshot by Lightshot

Recently my computer failed on updating windows and I couldn't initialize my machine. So I entered in secure mode and typed this command on cmd: Dism /image:C:\ /cleanup-image /revertpendingactions. But the problems were happening before I did this.

been using slmgr /rearm, by any chance.

Looking back over your earlier posts, Axe0 was wrong, your install was/is non-genuine.

If you have purchased yet another key, run this tool copy/paste the output

My windows is not genuine? And what is this slmgr /rearm that your talking about?

the slmgr /rearm is a temporary fix for non-genuine issues.

I ran this tool and the program stoped working. I restarted my computer and nothing on the computer worked. I couldn't even open a folder in the desktop. Then, I restarted it again and it is normal now. The windows I'm using know is activated with a key I bought, and it is the same as the post that you read. So what do I do?

Please run the tool again and copy/paste the report.
There are 3 parts to windows update
Licenced/activated/registered.
If any 1 of the 3 is not upto date then you cannot update.

As i said earlier,
if that code is still present the install is non-genuine
AND IT IS.

Someone has been selling this licence on the internet, it has now reached the stage that MS have picked it up, because of multiple activations.
(also its widely published on the net).

Unfortunately you will have to purchase another licence.
You could speak to MS and report the vendor, they MIGHT give you another licence unlikely to be W7.

Ok, thank you for your help. I will install Windows 8 (genuine) and update it to Windows 10. =)
