Hi all
Weird and annoying problem started for me yesterday, the CPU is always at 30-35% load, won't go lower than that, while nothing is running, even after I restart the PC it's still the same.
Memory is at 2 GB usage more or less all the time (out of 8), and sometimes I get picks where it uses 7 GB and my PC just freezes... only a reboot fixes that until the next time it happens...

I looked at the running services but I can't see anything odd there...
Another thing is that if I look at my mouse pointer there's always this "circle" thingy near it, like it's "thinking"/loading something constantly...

Can I get some help? Thanks!

my rig is as follows:

CPU: I5 2500K @ 4.2Ghz + Mugen 2 | MBoard: GB GA-Z68X-UD3-B3 | GFX CARD: Gigabyte GTX570 1280MB GDDR5 320-bit interface OC Ver 780Mhz | RAM: Kingston 8GB (2X4GB) DDR3 1333Mhz | PSU: Seasonic 620W Modular | HDD: Samsung 1TB Sata II 32MB SpinPoint F3 x2

Can we get a picture of your task manager performance tab showing all processes from all users, sorted by ram usage

Can we also get your event viewer logs.

Please provide us with your Event Viewer administrative logs by following these steps:

Click Start Menu
Type eventvwr into Search programs and files (do not hit enter)
Right click eventvwr.exe and click Run as administrator
Expand Custom Views
Click Administrative Events
Right click Administrative Events
Save all Events in Custom View As...
Save them in a folder where you will remember which folder and save as Errors.evtx
Go to where you saved Errors.evtx
Right click Errors.evtx -> send to -> compressed (zipped) folder
Upload the .zip file here.

What you linked is referring to windows 2000... see the date even, 2005.
Also are we sure that this is what is causing the problem?

You can in vestige further by using an app called process monitor. Perhaps the same fix applies.

Did you ever find out which processes are running under this particular svchost.exe. You can do that with Process Explorer. Right click on the svchost.exe in question > Properties > Services tab.

In "Services", set Bonjour to disabled, then stop the service. Reboot and see if that app is causing the high CPU ... also, see if the "circle" thingy is gone.
