Hey guys,

When I start any game like MW3, BO2 , my Physical memory usage goes up to 50%.. My RAM is 4GB..

This wasn't happening to me before.. It started getting like this 2 days ago.. Yesterday I ran a registry clean and it was ok.. Game wasn't lagging, but today it's lagging again..

I used CCleaner, Glary Utilites, MalwareBytes, scanned with AV.. but nothing is happening :(

Hello boki and welcome to Seven Forums.

Windows 7 has a built in tool that can help figure out how your RAM is being used. It's call Resource Monitor. If you could post a screenshot of the Memory tab it will give a better idea of how RAM is being allocated during game play.

Windows 7 is not like previous operating systems. It has a different way of using RAM. It tries to use as much RAM as you have available because "unused RAM is wasted RAM."

You could also try running the Disk Cleanup utility, especially deleting unnecessary system files (step 5.)

MW3 should be using between 700k and about 1.3 gigs just by itself depending on things.
Running programs consuming memory is what memory is there for in the first place. I use 2 gigs just idling, and I have a pretty thin auto start list.

Why people get upset when memory is actually in use is completely beyond me. I use 2 gigs idle. I fail to see how using 2 gigs when running a single app that's supposed to use 2/3'rds of that on it's own constitutes a troubleshooting session.
That just seems normal to me.

Too be honest if I were you I would be asking why the system isn't making better use of the available memory. ...I guess I'm weird though.

Well you don't appear to have a memory shortage problem - you have over 1. GB free.

Changing the resolution down only really affects the graphics card. The game engine is going to use the amount of ram it's going to use. In games that have the option cutting down to previous versions of direct x might shrink the footprint a little.

My guess is the problem has to do with cpu time, it's probably being eaten by a process usually not that hard to track through the task manager (which you seem to know how to use).

When you are idle with nothing running is the cpu at 0? (or near zero 3-5%)
