Hijack logs shows many files missing

Hi,

I just ran HijackThis on a brand new laptop that I just reformatted and re-installed, which works fine by the way and it found all these missing. The thing is that all these files reside in the WinSxS folder. Should I tweak these entries?

Not if you want your system to keep working. Winsxs is a folder that points to all the various versions of drivers etc in your system. Mess with that and things will break

That is what HJT shows when run on 64 bit Windows. None of those files are missing, it is just that HJT can't see the 64 bit versions of them. One of these days Trend might get it updated so that it reports them properly.

I downloaded the latest HighJackThis v2.04 from Trend Micro site, and running in Win 7x64 Ultimate, still shows many "(Files Missing)"
