Ho do I disable sound in Windows 7?

My roommate always plays music loudly while I am sleeping and studying.How do I disable his computer sound?He haves a USB speaker, I disable in Device Manager, but after restarting and then replug the USB speaker, It still play sound.He is bad at computer.Please help me! Thank you!

I'd say talk to the roommate about it. If he doesn't respect you, then it would be a shame if the speaker had a fatal accident.
