Yes there was a bit of thrashing about in those ipconfig's, had to straighten that out first.
It's best to keep the number of adaptors and connection to minimum as it tends to create problems down the line. Let us know if you need any help setting up the Homegroup, it really works well for me. The A/V's you need to be careful with as well because they can wreck havoc with sharing.
What's good about Homegroup is that you can add folders from other harddrive's and they all show up in the same place which is really good for movie collections and that sort of thing. It also greatly simplifies the Network set up once you figure it all out.
