Hi,Just bought bought the Microsoft Home & Student Office 2010 with a licence for three computers.
I have installed it on my main desktop working well,Also installed it on my laptop,Now that makes ''Two'',One more left.Thinking of putting the third one on my wife's laptop,There is one little bug holding me back.
If I do decide to place it on my wife's laptop the three have gone into action. Now if for example my C drive goes Kaput on my desktop and have to have a new C drive where does that leave me to re install that office 2010 on to the new HDD that means that it will be the fourth install.
Am I correct in thinking so?What is my position here please,The Disc I got and paid for is a genuine bought item.
Any thoughts here please.
Many thanks.

To add to what Jim posted above. You can install/reinstall and activate Office on any computer as often as you like so long as it's only activated on up to 3 computers at the same time and no more.

Many thanks for the reply. So your answers are looking very bad this end if one of the three pc's fail I wont be able to re install the office 2010 that I bought from microsoft.
That aint very nice of them,There must be another route somewhere down the line for this problem?
Surely.
Many thanks .

If one of the PC's fail, Office will be on two computers. You have a license for three. Fix the compter that broke, reinstall Office on it. Now Office will be on three computers (the license you paid for).

You have misread the answers posted - you will always be able to reinstall and activate MSOffice if one of the machines (or a component thereof) dies on you.
I have had to do this twice before - once I simply activated online as normal, the other time, I was prompted to seek phone activation. I have never had a problem with this.
The only condition is that no more than 3 licences are activated concurrently.

My copy of Office 2007 has been used on five different computers—one of those computers has had it installed on three different harddrives—but no more than three operating computers at a time (usually, only two at a time). I had to call M$ only once to deactivate a previous installation; there was no hassle involved.
