I installed LAN driver but no changes at all
I do not have with me the win7 DVD. so I cannot do a repair now.
When I installed the DVD, I tweaked the services in order to have quicker performance. This PC is just a media center and I wanted to have it light.
I wonder now if I disabled a service that might be causing this problem. I have enabled all ip v6 services but nothing seems to change
cheers

Given the amount of "tweaking" you have done. I'm going to agree with chev. Do a Clean Install. I can't guarantee you that a repair will fix the services you disabled. It might, but then again it might not. If it doesn't... well thats just 20 minutes wasted.
