Greetings to all,

I want to share my laptop net connection to my samsung galaxy y (android) .I had search the net and grabbed some info about it.. I came across connectify hotspot which is used to share the net connection to my mobile via wifi.. then the problem starts..

there is security mode under the setting tab which has 3 types
1/ access point ,WPA2-PSK
2/ad-hoc , open
3/ad-hoc,WEP

Since i'm new to this i don't know what to choose i simply selected the first one access point ,WPA2-PSK..and i clicked start hotspot
every thing was working fine my galaxy had detected it.. finally the wifi is connected but when i open the phone browser it says " page cannot be display, no net network connection available "..then i choose the second one ad-hoc,open . it says the following ..

*wifi is disable make sure your device is plug in..

Hello,

Ideally you want to create the wireless network on your router. Using your laptop as a hot spot isnt really a good idea. Do you have a wireless router?

Ahh right ok. How do you gain access to the internet then? Via a 3G dongle?
