Hi folks.
My laptop´ uses to crash (3th time now over the last years)
So I recevied a new replacement-HDD by warranty.
Thereafter, I installed the Windows 7 with my dvd.
So in this very moment, I have a complete new fresh installation...
lets call it current_state2016
But for about ~1 year ago I did this very same process.
I Installed windows7 with the same clean ISO [DVD]
and then did a great work installing all the drivers, necessary extras for my hardware, peripherals.
Setting up my enviroment, installing some programs and tweaks.
And when finish, I did burn recovery disc you know before using it. I probably even created restoration images with the computer manufactors aswell.
I believe one DVD is a so-called Windows Restore point.
This restore-point should contain my system, settings, enviroment as the
2015_state
1. But How do I know this for sure?
How can i Browse this DVD before proceed?
And how verify its 100 % OK ?
2. And what is the correct procedure in this moment ?
Is it really a good idea at all?
Should I insert the DVD
boot >
and try to restore 2015_state
on my new current_state2016 (overwrite)
or could it be problems, conflict? The difference between my current installation and the old one is the username and password (!)
