how can i create exact system backup or image or whatever.

i am going to install windows 8 consumer preview.but first i want to create system

image or backup whatever its called so if i didnt like the new window so i can turn

back to where i started.i dont want to lose any of my data and programs installed.i

have 160 GB HDD with only one partition on which windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit is

installed.is this even possible?if yes please help me out.Thanks

Hello Masoomsahib,

For what you are wanting to do, you really need to have a second physical internal or external HDD to save the system image on to be safe.

You don't want to have a system image saved to another partition on the same HDD as Windows is installed on. If that HDD fails, you lose everything.

Thanks brink to coming to me so fast.actually i have a external HDD of 500 GB on which i am willing to save the image i just dont know how to do it and how to Restore it.i have some software called Macrium Reflect.Thanks again
