How can I fix this?

These are all pictures and they have some sort of null type image next to them. How can I fix that?

Have you ever installed Stardock Iconpackager or alienware or something similar I con changing program ?

Icon cache will not be rebuild in that situation . The easiest solution is http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3413-repair-install.html , without losing your documents and settings .

You installed iconpackager .... and uninstalled it with an icon set different from the default was in use, right ?

If my guess is true, there is only three ways to fix it .

1. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1649-clean-install-windows-7-a.html .... so you will loss all your documents and settings . If you are planning for it, back things up first .

2. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3413-repair-install.html .... the easiest way .... just follow the tutorial .

3. Readjusting imageres.dll using some resource modifying program such as resource hacker . But for that you are to know first which icons throughout your system is corrupted ; and you need the appropriate icons to replace those .

If you attach some screenshots of your my computer window, folder icon , file icons etc, I wil try to guide you through the third option, but repair install is easier than it .
