How can I install windows 7 on top of windows 8.1?

Basically what the title says.

If this is not possible, I will be happy to just clean install windows 7.

I think he means downgrade from 8.1 to 7 which is not supported unless the computer comes with downgrade rights and shipped with 8 or 8.1.

So I can use windows 7 and windows 8.1, without virtual machines.

Still don`t see the point but anyway.

1) Delete your hard drive/ssd down to unallocated space, then create 2 Primary partitions on your hard drive/ssd. Use a Partition Wizard Boot CD or use Diskpart, a Partition Wizard Boot CD is much easier.

2) Install Windows 7 on the 1st partition

3) Install Windows 8.1 on the 2nd partition

Done.

Do not forget to backup your data before you start.

Bootable Partition Manger | MiniTool Partition Wizard Bootable Edition

This way you can just delete Windows 8.1 when you are sick of using it.

If you already have Windows 8.1 installed and want to keep it, please post a shot of Disk Management.
