How do I activate wifi? , Asus 1215B

Hello I have installed Win 7 64 bit after changing the HDD and downloaded and installed the wifi driver from the Asus web site. The wifi light now comes on, but the wifi does not seem to be active. There are no networks avalaible. How do I activate the wifi?

Hello salvadorfreeman, Welcome to the Forums, Let me ask you , Are you in a known wifi hot spot and not seeing any networks ? Also, in Device Manager , do you have any yellow or red cautions on the wifi drivers showing ?

Hi guys,
Thanks, I;ve got it working now, after a nightś sleep (I posted the thread as soon as I got up this monring, then went back to the computer).
I went through the install driver process again. I guess I must have missed something last night. Part of my problem is that I'm more used to XP, so I'm still having to fumble my way through Win7.
