- Lately ive been having alot of issues with my new laptop. It is a new laptop, I can post spec's at the end of this post. After restoring to an earlier point for about four week's ago, it has always frooze atleast one time after startup when entering internet or other applications. The mouse doesn't freeze, but if I click while the screen is froozen, then the mouse freezes too, and this beep sound comes after the freezing part is over. This happened now: I played a game AVA (FPS), with 140fps, no possible lag can caused this. And the game just started to freeze, like every five secounds.

So I have now decided to restore it. Remove EVERYTHING, except Windows. I have no CD's or so, so I can't backup. I tried following this guide: How to Restore Your Computer to Like New | eHow

But at the part where: "As the computer boots from the CD you will be prompted to choose to either repair your operating system or to reinstall it."

I only have a "repair" option, no re-installation. Is there any other way's? I have no experience when it comes to this. So I need proffessional help.

- Thanks!

Preinstalled PCs come with a way to restore them to factory condition, usually through the pressing of a key combination and/or the selection of a restore option at boot. Since all are different, you need to look through the documentation for your PC to see how that works.

IF that is not available, or does not work, you would have to contact the PC manufacturer to see if they will sell you full-restore media. This will most likely be a DVD that you boot from, which then erases the drive, reformats it, and restores the original install.

You can restore from the recovery partition. But procedures differ by make. What is the make of your PC ??

This is indeed a make I have never heard of. Below is a link giving procedures for various makes. Maybe there is one that fits the bill. But as I said, each make has their own setup. Maybe you can call the company and inquire.

That guide you referenced clearly says to boot from a CD -- but you said you had no CD. So, how were you able to follow the guide?
