How do I delete an individual library?

I've tried searching and all that I can find on the topic is how to disable all the libraries.

I installed Zune music player recently to try it out and it created the library "Podcasts" and I can't work out how to delete it.

I will never use it and I don't want it there, there must be a way to delete it as it wasn't there until I installed this program.

Regards,

mrGRINCH.

That does not work for libraries, they just reappear.

right click onthe podcast library, select properties and click on the folder location that shows, this should make the remove button appear, after it is removed then hopefully deleting the icon will keep it gone.

ok ,there must be a setting in zune player then or when you installed it there may have been a checkbox for it to create a library item.
i would check in the zune preferences see if there is anything pertaining toward the libraries.
im afraid i dont use zune so i have no knowledge to give a detailed fix.

edit, just googled how to remove zune podcast library ,
see if this fix will help.

I already tried doing that, and it doesn't work.

I've managed to work out a work around though, I'll post it below for anyone else looking for an answer to this problem.

Open Zune > Go to Settings > Collection

Click "Manage Separately" at the bottom.

Under "Zune Folders" set a folder for Podcasts.

Under "Monitored Folders" click remove for Podcasts.

Open Libraries in windows and delete the "Podcasts" library.

It's a work around but at least it stays deleted.

I honestly don't know why Microsoft does stupid shit like this and doesn't give you the ability to simply remove them.

Being able to add stuff to the right side of the start menu would be nice too but we can't do that either.

in all fairness, microsoft do let you remove libraries, and add them for that matter, what was happening was zune was hijacking the process, renewing the library each time you removed it.
