I have 2 adobe pdf ports currently set up on my system. One is print to file which I don't know where that came from but every time I try to use it, it prints an "invalid file" after I enter the mile long output file name ending in .pdf.
Using the other adobe pdf printer port I click print and it doesn't ask for a file name/location it just shuts down as if it printed to somewhere but I don't know where. How do I get this printer set up correctly. Currently have adobe acrobat 8 pro installed

Honestly, I've always felt the Adobe PDF printer was crap, so I usually uninstall it and use the one from CutePDF. Stupid name, but it's free and always works.

I am also trying to install PDF printer using redmon 1.9 for Windows 7 and ghostscript. However, it seems that I cannot redirect printer port, the last step to complete the Printer PDF installation. When attempting to redirect the printer port, I got the following error: 0x00000001!! I have a administrator account.
Any idea to deal with this error would be appreciated. Thanks!

Finally, I succeeded to redirect printer ports by accessing the Control Panel, Administrative Tools and by opening the Print Management as Administrator when clicking the mouse right button. At that location, the printer configuration including port redirection can be accomplished without any problem. It seems that Administrator rights are not totally given within a normal Administrator account!!
