How do I install windows 7 64 bit updates a few at a time

I read some where that the windows 7 64 bit microsoft updates should be installed a few at a time and then boot. how do i do this?

You might choose to start manually "windows update " from the start menu and when it shows all the available updates - both critical and optional, go into the respective options - then de-select or choose which ones you can apply in that screen. Then apply changes which should do your job.

When you have updates to install, uncheck all but 4-5 or what you want to install. You'll need to adjust Windows Updates to Download and Let me choose...
