how do I know that my motherboard has hdmi port

I do not know anything about duplicate monitor or extended monitor until i read an article to enable the video play of computer to the tv.
i have hdmi port in the tv, besides usb
I have output hdmi port in my computer monitor which i recently bought.
I tried , connecting this port to the tv, but nothinng came nor any damage has been done when i try to power on both pc and tv to check the connection.
But my friend says, that that is is an output port, that i used and i need to find the hdmi port on the cpu. i do not knwo , until then, that it is a kind of montor connecting cpu.
Now, i want to know if my mother board has hdmi ports on it on the cpu, but i do not know if it has one so that i could directly connect the hdmi cable to this port.
how do i know, if my cpu has hdmi ports on it.
Is there any test to know if it exists

I am sending the available ports on my cpu .
are these hdmi ports or some other ports, how do i identify if i have one.
if not what kind of converter should i use to connect the hdmi to my pc, so that i could use the tv to view the movie etc.

Hi, Bill, yeas. i have gone through the intel pdf of that mobo. there is no hdmi support for my mobo for hdmi.
i have only one vga port. if suppose, i sue this port for connecting to tv hdmi port, then i may not see anything in my computer display.
The Tv is not smart tv, having internet support and so, i could only use tv as a duplicate monitor.
attaching of new hdmi supported video card , has to be compatible with my mother board, which has no support for hdmi.
I have a kind of a device, for some other purpose, say, using the display on laptop, which it losts, which i got from attaching this device to the cpu and connecting tone vga cable to pc and the other to the laptop.
Can i use this kind of device to get two vga cable one for pc and one for the tv connection with a vga to hdmi converter adapter.
i do not know the name of the device.

You can get a VGP to HDMI adapter however you will still only have VGA quality since the source is VGA.vga hdmi Video Adapters | Newegg.com Generally TVs and monitors aren't really interchangeable so don't expect the best performance.

You can use a video card with the pci express x16 slot however you need to make sure that it says hdmi and not display port. They are similar but not compatible. Also you would need to find one with 7 drivers. I don't know enough to recommend a specific model.

What do you mean? If you are asking can you use the integrated graphics and the card at the same time? I don't believe that windows is designed for that but I could be wrong. See this. Win7 - Dual DVI Monitors + Secondary (Single) TV HDMI Out - Possible? Generally it is best practice to disable integrated graphics when adding a graphics card. If you can find a card with multiple outputs (and many do) then you will be able to connect to multiple devices. Look for that as well when you select a card.

From the pic the OP, posted there is only one pcie x16 slot, the others are x1.

Best bet is to get a graphics card with hdmi out. Op machine pretty old with only 2gb ram. Graphics card could cost more than the machine is worth.

Hi, my machine is having motherboard intel q33 chipset family. I have only one vga port for display, video now.
From your replies, that already I have an inbuilt video card that occupies the pci express slot, which has no hdmi support.
So, if I remove the card that the pc has, and replace it with video card with hdmi support, i can view he streamig video on both the pc and tv in good qualilty.
My pc has a new monitor which has hdmi port, presumably for pc display.
So, if i have a video card with two hdmi ports , one for the pc monitor connection, with small hdmi cable, and the other one for giving connection with the hdmi port with the tv.
is my presumption correct and can i go for a video gard with hdmi support containing two ports.

First you need to make sure the card says that it supports multiple monitors. Secondly you need to make sure that your monitor is hdmi or if it is display. See this: HDMI vs. DisplayPort: Which Should I Use for My PC Monitor? | PCMag As stated they are similar but not compatible and it might look like an hdmi port. Likely if either it is display as display is designed for monitors and hdmi for tvs. If your monitor is display look for cards that have both. I don't know if they have any cards that do both. Finally you need a card with 7 drivers. You might have to get an older card off of ebay or amazon for that. Maybe someone else will chime in on that because I don't know which models to recommend. As for the quality, as I've stated monitors have one purpose and tvs have another so don't expect the best performance trying to use a tv as a monitor. You will see a quality increase over vga. That's bottom of the barrel.

I don't know the technical difference between the two but that doesn't matter. They aren't compatible.

you know, HDMI sends both video & sound, so if you should connect something on both HDMI ports and try to keep both active, the card would still only be able to send the signals in one direction, meaning to one of your screens. Im not talking about the dual monitor setup as we normally
