Solved How do i make what i think is called a macro?

I have a question about what I think is a macro, but it could be something else. What I want to do is - every time I open any .zip file, I would like a specific text file to open as well. Is there a way to do this in Windows 7 Ult x64? Either with third party software or something built into the OS? Again, i'm not sure if this is a macro thing or something else. Any help on this topic would be grateful. Thank you guys

You're on the right track. A macro is usually associated with an Office program, eg, Word, to do repetitive tasks with a single click. Macros demystified: What they are and why to use them - Support - Office.com

Someone may be able to write a batch (.bat file) that can do it however.

that would be awesome. I've heard the basics and think i understand how i would write it. But then to compile it to an .exe, i'm not understanding that yet. To the forums...
