How do I move my XP Favourites to Win7

Morning all
Tried moving just one Favourites folder over to my new Win7 computer but all it's contents were displayed, not just the folder. By moving just one folder I was 'testing the water' so to speak, did not want to loose my XP Favourites. I still want to retain my XP Fav's in my old computer.

Put your XP Favorites onto a flash drive then import them to Internet Explorer.

Your Favorites folder is located in C:/ Users / Your User name / Favorites

Copy the Favorites folder to a flash drive.

Then use the Import option to grab the favorites off the flash drive.

The path for w7 favorites is: C:\Users\your username\Favorites if your favorites are on the C:\ drive, substitute your drive letter if different.
