How do I re-adjust the taskbar icons(turned sideways)?

Update: I've installed the most recent driver for my graphics card, but that also didn't solve the problem.

What's more, I've just noticed that icons in folders have been turned sideways as well.

Is there any solution for this? because if there isn't then I'll have to format my PC and re-install Windows 7...

Try going to pictures folder and show those pictures in explorer. Also sideways?
Go to properties of taskbar. Change icons to "small icons" as a test. Still sideways?

What do you know? that simple test actually solved this problem!!!

Apparently it was only a "cosmetic" issue.

Thanks a lot for your help kaktussoft:D

Strange that the taskbar and app icons would be flipped, but not application windows, systray icons, nor the clock or Start orb.

I'm curious as to the steps required to reproduce this problem.

So "small icons" are not displayed sideways. Change back to larger icons as it was. problem solved? Also check folder icons, are they fixed as well?

Ditto. I'd love to be able to do what I saw in the screenshot.

Almost half a year after my last reply here, it happened again: for some reason only my taskbar and desktop icons are turned sideways. Changing the taskbar icons to small icons solves the problem, but only for the taskbar. Changing it back returns the taskbar icons to be sideways again.

Any solution?
