I thought that was what I did. I followed the step by step instructions and used recommended user settings and didn't tweak anything or download extra. Was I supposed to install each update one by one? Things don't work that used to. How would u treat computer that spent a few years offline, was put back online, owner got really freaking lost and thought it was best to use Windows Restore or Repair, or factory disk, or upgrade from Windows 98, seriously confused, knows there are 2 HP Pavilions, not sure if need other one, can't afford a new computer, has paperwork when a computer had work done, confused with error messages and Windows 7 countdown.....Can I just get this computer right here to need a new OS nd then give it one with what I have?

Hi ChloeJean,

Welcome to SevenForums!

I thought that was what I did. I followed the step by step instructions and used recommended user settings and didn't tweak anything or download extra. Was I supposed to install each update one by one? Things don't work that used to. How would u treat computer that spent a few years offline, was put back online, owner got really freaking lost and thought it was best to use Windows Restore or Repair, or factory disk, or upgrade from Windows 98, seriously confused, knows there are 2 HP Pavilions, not sure if need other one, can't afford a new computer, has paperwork when a computer had work done, confused with error messages and Windows 7 countdown.....Can I just get this computer right here to need a new OS and then give it one with what I have?

Disk Management

Post a screenshot of the Disk Management => Disk Management - Post a Screen Capture Image. Pay special attention to Step 5.

I hope this helps!
