How do you erase certain parts in a captured image?

I've seen some people do it. Is there a simpler way than Photoshop?

You would have to use a image editor of some kind, Photoshop, Gimp, etc.
Do you have a image editor already?
If it's a picture you don't mind others seeing(make sure it will not offend anybody) posted here and highlight if possible what you want removed and we may be able to instruct you how to do it.

Simple is the issue, simple does not do a good job, and seldom free at that. If you want to have a go, try Gimp with Resynthesizer
