How often does Windows release new security updates

how often is it that Windows releases new security updates and then that way I can check for updates the day that they are released thanks

M$ occasionally issues out of cycle updates as well so you still would need to check every day to make sure you don't miss one.

Why not let Windows check for you? To set it up, press on the windows key, type "windows update" (without the quotes), then click on it when it pops up. From there, click on "Change Settings". Under "Important Updates", choose the option that suits you best. I have "Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them" selected. I prefer to wait three or four days before downloading and installing updates in case a problem gets reported. It also avoids the annoying problem of Windows trying to shut down and restart while I'm in the middle of something.

For Workstation Based Operating Systems it will be once a months 2nd Tuesday of month
For Server Based Operating Systems it is once 2 months 2nd Tuesday of month.
