I modify and clean up the start menu entries on all my machines, and it's an irritation having to construct shortcuts to a program file that you are looking at in Explorer by-
Note this is not the same as the normal "Create Shortcut" option which creates a shortcut file in the current folder, I just want the path text on the clipboard.
Sounds simple but i'm not much of a registry hacker. Any idea how to do this?
- Highlight and copy the folder address from Explorer address bar
- Paste into the target shortcut address
- Manually type a "\"
- Highlight and copy the .exe file name
- Paste (append) into the shortcut target address
