How to add folder with sc to right side of menu start ?

Hi,

New menu start is very usefulness for me .

I would like to create Folder which will contains Shortcuts one type of application.
I have found that there is good example of this object in the right column of windows start menu this folder is games witch opens or shows data inside)

Could you provide me with information how add my own folder to this list to works as "Games" ?

Y'all are referring to the Vista Start Menu app? It is highly customizable. The samples on the web page are based on a direct translation of the default manner in which most apps write themselves to the Windows start menu - which I stomp on. I use a highly structured Start Menu and it fits nicely into the Vista Start Menu Pro. My start menu has entries like:

Admin, Office, AV Audio, AV Graphics, AV Video, Tools HDD, Tools ODD, Reference, DeskTop...

Another option I have used to "correct" the Windows Start Menu - ObjectDock Plus.

The author does not merchandise his product very well. Y'all are judging a book by its cover - and it is a poorly designed cover on a rather nifty book. The app does have it's problems, but lack of customization and usability is not one (sic) of them.

My start menu is highly organized too, so maybe it will work for me.

Well, came to the conclusion it's not for me, after playing around with it for a few minutes.

I like the menu to show only the things I use often.
This program by default shows everything, plus it takes up 60% of the width of my 15,4" laptop screen.

But I can see how it could be very useful for others.

I would like to be able to do the exact thing the OP asked.
To be able to add a custom item in the right side of the start menu.
Must be a registry key for sure.

I am not trying to sell this app -

The menu is resizable with a click and drag.

FWIW - I don't use it. I am waiting for it to mature, or for someone to clone and improve it. It is a little buggy in the GUI.

To tell the truth - I am really done with customizing the Windows GUI. I find the evolution of the GUI basically intuitive and a natural progression, more or less. The explorer shell is another matter.

Restoring the Quick launch may be a more effective solution for the OP.
