How to Change default DESKTOP ICON itself

Hi everyone. New to the forum, hope this is the right place for this post.
So far I've been able to change almost everything following the tutorials I found here. It is just amazing the amount of information you guys have available
But there is just one thing i couldn't find: how to change the default desktop icon itself, the one you see in the explorer navigation pane and in the places bar.
I apologize if the answer is out there, but I searched up and down and just couldn't find it. I just found advice for a guy who had messed up his icons, and the recommendation was to rebuild his icons using resource hacker. Not my case.
Well, thanks in advance for any advice you can provide.

That icon is #110 in imageres.dll and according to your system specs you're using 64-bit so that imageres.dll is in both C:\Windows\System32 and C:\Windows\SysWOW64

Thank you very much Jerry, it worked perfectly.
It was for my laptop, where I'm running Ultimate x86.
I had to rebuild the icons cache thrice, that side, no problems whatsoever.
