hey guys (Brink, Danny)

i was a little bit rash and quick to think that it worked but errrr it didn't!:o
this recorded TV icon is being really stubborn and wont change!

i forgot to mention that i have the 64bit version of Windows 7 Ultimate

i followed what Danny put and change the path to where i keep my icons and i copied the path exactly.

I know that with 64bit versions you have to go to (Wow6432Node) section and make the change in there too. i even created a new key and renamed it DefaultIcon and then added the path to the default string but that didn't help either!

its the only icon that has not changed, changing all the others was a snap but this one just doesn't wanna change!!:(

can you guys shed any more light on this please?

p.s - Brink i clicked your link but got a little confused by it

No it with just delete the existing icon cache and rebuild it on reboot. It will cause you no problems with your custom icons and may well solve your problem.
Just make sure you have made the alterations to that key first, download the bat file, right click "run as administrator" and follow the prompts on the cmd to reboot.

This is mine but like I said I mover the locations to my "D" drive

The other option is to change the recorded tv library icon in the imageres folder and do it that way
